PRiSM receives the 2019 Information Visionary – Philippines Category Award

Among the 1,170 organizations who that submitted entries for this year’s International Data Corporation (IDC) Digital Transformation Awards (DXs), PRiSM was chosen as winner for the 2019 Information Visionary – Philippines category. PRiSM received the award during the World of Consumer Electronics Expo, the country’s largest event for innovation which brings together the Philippine’s top technology vendors, solution providers and start ups. It all happened in World Trade Center last September 26, 2019.
PRiSM was applauded being the first to implement a nationwide satellite and Information and Communications Technology-based rice monitoring system in Southeast Asia since 2017 due to its remarkable contribution in modernizing the rice monitoring in the country. PRiSM eases the way data is being collected; the way it is being processed; and deliver to the policy makers. IDC Digital Transformation Awards honor the achievements of organizations that have successfully digitalized one or multiple areas of their business/projects through application of digital and disruptive technologies within Asia/Pacific.
Information Visionary Award was one of the six categories identified. This award seeks an organization or project that focuses on extracting and developing the value and utility of information relative to customers, markets, transactions, services, products, physical assets, and business experiences. This category believes that data and information are critical assets, leveraged to improve decision making, collaboration, competitive advantage, and data monetization.
“After four or five years, we shift from human lab to machine lab to predictive to prescriptive. This is how data science works, it evolves.” said Randy Roberts, Head of Operations for IDC Philippines.

PRiSM is all set to compete for the Asia/Pacific Digital Transformation Awards which benchmark all country winners in the same category to ultimately determine the region’s best of best. Regional DXs winners will be announced at the 2019 Digital Transformation Summit in Singapore on October 23-24.
Recipients of the other category awards were the Philippine Airlines (Talent Accelerator Award), Union Bank of the Philippines (Operating Model Master and Digital Transformation Awards), AIDE (Omni-Experience Innovator Award), Ms. Ma. Editha C. Elicano of Insular Life (DX Leader Award), and Angkas (Digital Disruptor Award). All are advanced to the Southeast Asia-wide competition.
